GBEOP is thrilled to host SPARK, a career exploration experience for eighth grade students in our region.

This event targets 8th grade students in the Greater Binghamton region to expose them to all the amazing career opportunities there are right here. Career exploration in middle school is crucial for the future success of our students. Panels are comprised of representatives from training programs and from employers.

In addition to facilitating hands-on learning activities, our industry partners use their sessions to provide a comprehensive overview of their respective fields. Students learn about the education levels required for each professional role and corresponding average salaries. They are also given real-world examples of in-demand occupations available within the region.
